Abstract :
The ratoon system is a rice cultivation system by veterinary shoots that grow after the parent rice is cut or harvested. The ratoon system has several advantages, including faster harvest time and lower production costs. Faster harvesting period can increase the rice production index 4-5 times per year. However, ratoon rice yield still considerably low. The use of biodegradators to accelerate the decomposition of the remaining rice straw as a source of nutrients and improve the soil which will increase the productivity of ratoon rice. This research applied several types of biodegradable microorganisms which are applied with different concentrations. The rice variety used was Inpari 32 which grown in the Jember State Polytechnic area which was designed with Split plot design using a completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor was the types of biodegradable microorganisms consisted of 3 levels, namely Pseudomonas spp, Serratia spp, Bacillus spp. While, the second factor concentrations of biodegradable microorganisms used were 5 ml/l, 10 ml/l, and 15 ml/l. From the results of this study, it was found that the application of the type of microorganism Bacillus spp with a concentration of 15 ml/l gave the highest yield on the variables of productive tillers, plant height, number of leaves, and leaf area. While the type of application of microorganisms Pseudomonas spp. and the concentration of 5 ml/l gave the lowest statistical yield on the variables of number of tillers, productive tillers, plant height, number of leaves, and leaf area. In general, all treatments did not give significant results on the variables of panicle length, number of panicle grain, number of panicle (picious, empty) grain, and chlorophyll.
