Abstract :
Information technology will continue to develop from time to time to facilitate and carry out all activities in order to gain an advantage in the competition. Besuki Regional Public Hospital is experiencing problems related to the daily inpatient census reporting which is available at SIMRS and has not been integrated with the pharmacy system.. This study aimed to design and create an inpatient information system at Besuki Regional Public Hospital. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation and brainstorming. Design of study used the prototype method which included need analysis, prototyping, prototype evaluation, system coding and system testing. System testing in this study used blackbox techniques. The results of this study is inpatient information system that suits the needs of clients who obtained facilitate in making the daily inpatient census report and there is a menu for pharmaceuticals in order to facilitate the reporting of medicine use. In this system there are menus related to patients entering the hospital, patients moving, patients being transferred, patients leaving the hospital and patients dying and the use of medicine.
