Abstract :
Plantation Crops Production is one of the study programs in Politeknik Negeri Jember that focuses on the main competencies in cultivation of plantation crops technology. This study program also learns about Basic and Applied English. The lecturer of Applied English gived the kind of teaching media for the students and one of them is video. But the students have difficulty to learn the subject by video moreover the video is using English Language. So, by subtitling video in Indonesian Language the students can understand the whole contents of the video easily and quickly. In this final project, the writer used 6 procedures based on Video Caption Corporation (2015) those were Preliminary Reviews, Generation of Translation Template, Translation, Translation Reviews, Subtitle Placement and File Output. The writer also did a preliminary study to collect data`used in this final project. The lecturer asked to the writer to make a subtitle for the video as entitled Amazing Tobacco Agriculture Tobacco Farming & Tobacco Harvesting Methods Cultivation of Tobacco. In a result of preliminary study the writer was making subtitles used the Wondershare Filmora9 application with the font size was 24 and Arial theme. Hopefully this subtitling video could become a teaching media for the process of teaching and learning for the lecturer of Applied English, and for all student of Plantation Crop Production Study Program in Politeknik Negeri Jember.
