Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of giving bean sprouts waste flour and fish oil to the feed on the quality of gaok chicken semen. The content that plays a role in increasing sperm quality in gaok chickens is Zn and omega-3. The research method uses a completely randomized design (RAL) and for data fulfillment using a cross-over design. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) followed by the BNT test. Using 9 gaok chickens which were divided into 3 treatment groups on the feed, namely P0 = control feed, P1 = concentrate feed + 2.5% bean sprouts waste, P2 = concentrate feed + 1% fish oil. Parameters observed were color, volume, odor, pH, consistency, mass movement, vitality of spermatozoa and spermatozoa abnormalities. The results showed that the addition of bean sprouts waste flour, fish oil in the feed did not affect the color, odor, volume, consistency, pH value of cement. However, the provision of bean sprouts flour in feed has an effect on mass movement, spermatozoa viability and sperm spermatozoa abnormalities. The results of the study concluded that the quality of gaok chicken semen with treatment had no effect on color, odor, volume, consistency, pH value. However, the addition of bean sprouts flour has an effect on mass movement (+++), the viability of spermatozoa reaches 84.33% and reduces sperm spermatozoa abnormalities to 13.94%.
