Abstract :
Radiation is the main factor in increasing the productivity of red dragon fruit. This research discusses the design of the PLTS off-grid system as a red dragon fruit lighting resource which is an alternative to reduce electrical energy consumption. The benchmark used to determine the feasibility level of the PLTS off-grid system design is by analyzing the electrical energy produced by the PLTS off-grid system when the sky conditions are clear, cloudy, and cloudy. This research was conducted for several days starting at 07.00 am until 03.00 pm or for 8 hours. According to the study's findings, the electrical energy produced by the PLTS off-grid system when the sky was clear reached 832 WH, when the sky was cloudy it reached 479 Wh, and when the sky was cloudy it only reached 299 Wh. Meanwhile, the electrical energy used to light the red dragon fruit area reached 893 WH. So, when the sky is clear, electrical energy can be used as a source of lighting for red dragon fruit.Meanwhile, the PLTS off-grid system saves Rp. 29,700 in electricity consumption costs per month, so the electricity cost that dragon fruit farmers must pay is Rp. 304,700 per month, including the minimum account fee (RM) for the B-1/TR group.
