Abstract :
This research was conducted to determine the tensile strength and impact toughness of sisal fiber and areca nut peel powder. In the manufacture of composite specimens, it consists of 2 matrix constituents and the reinforcement. Specimen making is done by using a variation of the ratio in the form of (%) resin composition, sisal fiber and areca nut peel powder wherein the composition includes 30%:10%:60%, 20%:20%:60% and 10%:30%:60% volume and weight fraction, followed by tensile and impact testing. In the impact test, the largest value is found in the 1st comparison, which is 30%:10%:60%, the results are 5,641 j/mm², and the smallest results are in the 3rd comparison, 10%:30%:60%, which is 3,058 j/mm². in the tensile test the maximum stress ratio of 1 30%:10%:60% is 26,6845652 N/mm². for the second comparison 20%:20%:60% is 45.275875 N/mm², and for the third comparison 10%:30%:60% is 20.41025 N/mm²
