Abstract :
PT. Bumi Persada Tembako is one of the companies engaged in the production of tobacco which is exported abroad. Companies are required to produce and export tobacco with good quality, but in the production process there are still damaged or defective tobacco leaves. This study aims to analyze and determine the factors that cause disability, determine whether the level of damage is still under control or not, and provide efforts to reduce the level of disability in PT.Bumi Persada Tembako. This research is based on quantitative descriptive with a sample of defective product production in 2014-2018. The analysis used is Statistical Process Control (SPC). From the results of the analysis note that product quality control is outside the control limits with an average product damage of 9.337,2 kg during 2014-2018. The highest type of damage caused by fungi is 43.412 kg. Judging from the results of the analysis using a diagram of cause-effect, it is known that the factors that cause damage in the production process are the work environment and humans (workers).
