Abstract :
Ergonomics is the ability to apply information according to human character, capacities and limitations to the design of work, machines and systems, workspaces and the environment so that humans can live and work in a healthy, safe, comfortable and efficient manner. The medical record room at Mitra Keluarga Sejahtera Clinic does not meet the ergonomics aspect because the condition of the room is only 7.2 m2 in size and does not comply with the minimum standard of 4m x 4m so that it has an impact on service. The room consists of a patient registration unit, filing shelves and nurse station, using plastic chairs that are not ergonomic and the lack of filing shelves to accommodate inpatient medical record files. This type of research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observations, interviews, documentation and brainstorming. The study results indicate a need for a new medical record work unit design that is adapted to the flow of medical record file processing, the creation of tables, chairs and filing shelves that are adapted to the anthropometry of officers. The new design of the medical record work unit measuring 4m x 4m has been adapted to standards/theories. It uses the SketchUp 3D 2020 free trial application for 30 days following ergonomic aspects, including efficiency, health, safety, security and comfort. Suggestions for clinics are to expand the medical record work unit space in following ergonomics standards and aspects so that officers can work in a healthy, safe, comfortable and efficient manner.
