Abstract :
This research aims to describe the effect of using Edpuzzle interactive learning video media on students' interest in learning science subjects at Al-Hidayah Sidodadi Islamic Elementary School, South Labuhanbatu in 2023. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data triangulation techniques from observation, interviews, and essay tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests to measure concept understanding and questionnaires. The research population is 30 fifth-grade students who are studying science subjects and have low learning interest, with samples taken using purposive sampling techniques. The results show that the use of Edpuzzle interactive learning video media has a positive impact on increasing students' learning interest and improving their understanding of learning materials, which is evidenced by teaching reflection data and N-gain tests. In the N-gain test, the average post-test score after using interactive video media was higher than the average pre-test score, with an increase of about 29%. The obtained N-gain score of 0.7 is categorized as high. The results of the questionnaire data collection show that Edpuzzle interactive media contributes positively to improving learning effectiveness and can be a good alternative in teaching. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Edpuzzle interactive learning video media can improve students' learning interest and understanding of science subjects at Al-Hidayah Sidodadi Islamic Elementary School, South Labuhanbatu in 2023.
