Abstract :
The Lord's Prayer is a prayer that is familiar to Christians around the world. It is used in almost all Christian churches in their worship services. This prayer was directly taught by Jesus Christ to his disciples as a guide for prayer. The Lord's Prayer can be found in the Gospel of Matthew 6:9-13 and the Gospel of Luke 11:2-4. Through this prayer, Jesus taught his disciples to pray simply and without hypocrisy. This research was conducted to determine the method used in translating the Lord's Prayer into the Indonesian language Bible. The results of the study showed that the method used in the translation of the Lord's Prayer was dynamic or functional equivalence. This method is usually used in the Scriptures translation. All the sentences in The Lord's Prayer Indonesian version use dynamic or functional equivalence method to bring out what the passage would mean and make them easily understood by the readers.
