Abstract :
This study evaluates the effect of using the Indexcard Match learning method on the ability of grade 7 students in identifying English vocabularies. The classroom action research approach is used in two cycles. The results show a significant increase in students' abilities after applying the Indexcard Match learning method, with an average increase of 20% at the end of the first cycle and 30% at the end of the second cycle. Observations also showed an increase in student learning motivation. The Indexcard Match learning method is recommended to strengthen students' English Vocabulary skills. The challenges faced by students in identifying Vocabularies include unfamiliarity, confusion in pronunciation, and limited prior Vocabulary knowledge. The Indexcard Match learning method helps students overcome these challenges through visual context and intensive repetition. The findings of this study provide valuable insights for the development of effective and innovative English learning strategies in educational settings
