Abstract :
To reduce the occurrence of disturbances in the distribution of electrical energy, a reliable
protection system is needed as a safety. In the case at the Tello-Panakkukang Substation,
a protection system failure occurred which resulted in a Trip on the Line. Resetting the
autoreclose relay is needed, so that the system returns to normal. It can be seen from the
reset that the LLDB is interrupted by a bus of 5 Ampere in the IL1 phase, a disturbance
will occur for 1 second and will be normal for 1 second after that. Whereas in DLLB
where VL1 is injected with a nominal value of 57.74V for 25 seconds and is given a fault
current of 0.5 seconds of 5 Ampere at VL1, VL2 and IL1, IL2 then the system will turn off
for 1 second (dead time) and will return normal in the next 1 second, this is a 1 phase to
ground fault. In the transmission there are two types of interference, namely temporary
and permanent interference. About 100% of what happens is a temporary disorder. There
are power losses that can hinder the distribution of electrical energy at the substation, it
is known that the Tello-panakukang substation is not in interconnection, the duration of
the temporary disturbance without autoreclose is 1 hour for the temporary disturbance of
autoreclose for 5 seconds based on the longest time setting and in the calculation, the loss
is obtained - power loss based on existing fault current and calculation of total energy lost
during temporary disturbance without autoreclose 185,714 kWh is greater than with
autoreclose 258,60853982 kWh.
