Abstract :
This study was conducted to analyze various factors that influence the marketing
margin of cayenne pepper in Tombolo Pao Subdistrict of Gowa District. This study is
basically a descriptive and explanatory study. The population of this study included farmers
cayenne pepper in Tombolo Pao Subdistrict of Gowa District; and marketing of cayenne
pepper such as wholesalers, collecting sellers, and retailers. Samples were selected from the
population using a snowball sampling technique.
The result of this study showed that there were three marketing channels in Tombolo
Pao Subdistrict of Gowa District; first, farmers to wholesalers prior to consumers; second,
from farmers to collecting sellers to wholesalers to retailers before reaching the consumers;
third, from farmers to collecting sellers to retailers and finally to the consumers.
