Abstract :
The objective of this research is for explaning how Australia's cooperation with Indonesia in managing natural disasters in Indonesia through the Australia - Indonesia Facility for Disaster Reduction (AIFDR) program for 2009-2015. Australia is one of the countries that is very active and sympathetic on a variety of international issues, including on disaster management and welfare issues. Australia and Indonesia have established cooperation in various sectors of life. AIFDR is inseparable from the weakness of the disaster management system in Indonesia which has been proven by several publications that have just formed a legal entity in disaster management that has a borderline below the President in 2008. Less than 6 years Disaster Management in Indonesia formed in 2007, in this chapter will be published 3 of the many results of AIFDR cooperation that runs from 2009 - 2015.
