Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to know the correlation between students' critical thinking and their Writing skill at 6 th semester students of PBI UMRAH Tanjungpinang. The sample was chosen by using cluster random sampling and it was from E01 class that consisted of 30 students on the 6 th semester of PBI UMRAH Tanjungpinang. The method used was the quantitative method with a correlational approach. Pearson product moment and Spearman-rho correlation methods and instruments in the form of critical thinking tests and writing skills tests are used to obtain data. The results of indicator 1 research showed no correlation with r x 0.06. This value is a very low level of values seen in the Pearson product moment table. Hypothesis testing shows r xy 0.06 z t the 2 nd indicator is 0.87, the 3 rd indicator is 0.59, the 4 th indicator is 0.73, and the 5 th indicator is 1.00. It means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted
